Dangerous air pollution levels outside quarter of homes
A quarter of homes are in areas with dangerous levels of pollution, according to the first nationwide study of air quality that allows the public to check if their properties are affected.
The Central Office of Public Interest, a campaign group, found that the air on the doorsteps of nearly eight million homes in the UK exceeds at least one of the World Health Organisation’s recommended limits for particulate matter or nitrogen dioxide (NO2).
