Activist appeals against plans to expand offshore wind farm
An environmental activist has launched a High Court challenge over a decision to allow investigative works to take place as part of a plan to expand an offshore wind farm.
Last October the housing minister granted a foreshore licence to carry out site investigation works in an area off the coast of Co Wicklow, near the town Arklow. The purpose of the site investigation is to expand the number of wind turbines from seven to a maximum of 200, it is claimed.
